MLPHE professionals can guide you through the following products available to you:
Major Medical Health Insurance is health insurance obtained by a licensed insurance carrier. These products have varying deductibles, coinsurance, copays, and maximum out of pockets. They can also be PPO’s, POS, HMO’s, or community health plans sponsored by local hospitals. Some policies are available through Healthcare.gov and these policies may be eligible for lower premiums based on your annual income. Not all major medical policies, available in your area, show up on the affordable care website. It’s important to contact an insurance professional who understands your local market and the policies available on Healthcare.gov.
Temporary Health Insurance or Short-Term Policies are policies that can be purchased for a specific period of time. These policies are less expensive than major medical policies as they can implement pre-existing condition clauses and if a condition manifests while covered, they do not have to renew the policy once the term is expired. These polices may be a great option to cover gaps prior to other permanent coverage such as work policies, Medicare, etc.

Healthcare Sharing Programs may be options to explore as their premiums are considerably less than major medical coverage. We suggest that if your interested in these programs you google healthcare sharing to see the various programs available.
